Grette Associates staff includes 2 Principals, a Senior Project Manager, 10
Biologists and 3 Administrators between our Wenatchee and Tacoma offices.

Glenn Grette
Senior Biologist & Company Principal

Glenn Grette
is a Company Principal and Senior Fisheries Biologist with experience in the
consulting field in fisheries ecology, habitat restoration and mitigation,
impact assessment, study design, environmental documentation, and permitting
assistance since 1984. Glenn has been involved in permitting numerous
large-scale marine-oriented projects. He has extensive experience with
design, implementation, and monitoring of mitigation projects developed to
offset aquatic impacts in accordance with Section 404(b) of the Clean Water Act
and the Washington Hydraulic Code. Glenn also manages our Wenatchee
office.
Matthew Boyle,

Matthew Boyle
is a Company Principal and Senior Biologist who provides expertise in scientific
applications and management practices to private and municipal clients.
His experience and practice is addressing complicated technical and
regulatory issues on large scale habitat and infrastructure projects
including estuarine restoration, transportation, utilities, and water dependent
industry. His experience with negotiation helps develop practical and successful
solutions to complicated problems. Matthew also manages our Tacoma office.
David McCraney, Senior Project Manager

David McCraney
is a Senior Project Manager with over 30 years of experience as a manager,
advisor, and professional consultant in the areas of natural resources, fish and
wildlife, water, environmental review and permitting, and transportation policy
issues. David has worked with and has considerable knowledge of Federal,
State, Local and Tribal Government requirements, policies and operations.
David is based in our Tacoma office.

Larry Lehman
is a Biologist with experience in fisheries ecology, wildlife biology, riparian
systems, freshwater ecology, and related biological studies. Larry
provides wetlands sciences and fisheries expertise to public and private clients
for permitting and regulatory compliance. Larry's expertise in mitigation
site planning includes everything from concept design to construction bid
documents and final monitoring. He is based in Wenatchee.
Scott Maharry, Biologist

Scott Maharry
is a Biologist with experience in fisheries and wildlife biology and ecological
studies. His background includes fisheries and wildlife ecology, wetland
sciences, freshwater ecology, and related biological studies. Scott
provides oversight and quality control for data collection and construction
monitoring for permit compliance. He is a certified wetlands
delineator and is knowledgeable of Federal, State, and local wetland regulations
and requirements. Scott is based in Tacoma.
Cassandra Moore, Biologist

Cassandra Moore is a Biologist with a background in environmental permitting
and land use planning at the county level. Her work experience includes the
creation, interpretation, administration, and enforcement of county
codes including, but not limited to, SEPA, Critical Areas Ordinance, Shoreline
Management, and zoning for both rural and urban areas. Cassandra also has
professional certification in providing field analysis, delineation, and rating
of assorted environmentally sensitive areas including wetlands and streams as
well as the ability to create mitigation plans for development impacts.
Cassandra is based in Tacoma.
Melora Shelton, Biologist

Melora Shelton
is a Biologist with a background in fisheries biology and aquatic ecology,
particularly in estuarine and nearshore marine environments. Her
professional experiences range from designing and implementing field research to
coordinating complicated permitting efforts. Melora conducts Best
Available Science (BAS) review of local codes providing invaluable input to
jurisdictions complying with the Growth Management Act. Also, her strong
foundation in quantitative science is applied toward study design and
statistical analyses. Melora is based in Tacoma.
Ryan Walker, Biologist
B.S., Forestry, Washington State University
Ryan Walker is a Biologist
with experience in forestry, wetland biology, riparian restoration, and code
administration. His background includes natural resource management, land-use
planning, and Shoreline Management Act permitting. He is a U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers-certified wetlands delineator and has completed the Department of
Ecology's training course for the Washington State Wetland
Rating Form for Eastern Washington. In addition, Ryan has training in stream typing and
ordinary high water mark identification from the Washington Departments of
Natural Resources and Fish and Wildlife. He has worked with state and federal
agencies in north-central Washington on environmental permitting issues for over
six years. Ryan is based in Wenatchee.
Sarah Walker, Biologist
M.S., Environmental Science, Washington State University
B.A., Environmental Science, Wellesley College
Sarah Walker is a Biologist
with over 10 years of experience in locally-led natural resource planning and
environmental restoration. Sarah has a comprehensive understanding of both
the social and technical aspects of watershed management in North Central
Washington, particularly Chelan County. Her background includes salmon recovery
and water resource project planning, field data collection, permitting, and
implementation in the Wenatchee and Entiat River Watersheds. Sarah has also
been involved in the development and codification of resource management policy.
Her experience working collaboratively with community representatives, local
government and agency staff members, technical advisory teams and other
stakeholders on watershed issues has benefited numerous groups, including the
Entiat Watershed Planning Unit and Upper Columbia Salmon Recovery Board. She
joined the Wenatchee office of Grette Associates in 2008.
Jason Dirkse, Biologist

Jay Dirkse
is a Biologist with a background and training in wetland sciences, botany and
plant identification, critical areas studies, shoreline permitting, and
biological analyses for ESA compliance. Jay is a Corps-certified wetland
delineator with experience in both Eastern Washington and Western Washington,
and is trained by the Department of Ecology for wetland rating in Eastern
Washington. Jay's experience in shoreline permitting ranges from private
docks in Lake Chelan and the Columbia River to larger projects such as pier
expansions and dredging in the marine environment. Jay is based in
Wenatchee.
Angela Dubois, Biologist

Angie Dubois
is a Biologist
whose background emphasizes estuarine and marine biology and ecology. She
is an experienced scientific diver and is familiar with benthic habitat survey
techniques as well as macroalgal and invertebrate identification. Angie is
based in Tacoma, where she conducts biological analyses for ESA compliance,
provides permitting support to water-dependent clients, and prepares technical
reports for ongoing habitat monitoring and fisheries studies. Angie
also leads underwater survey efforts for marine macrophytes.
Megan Bushnell, Biologist
M.S., Zoology, University of Hawaii
B.S., Biology, University of North Carolina
Megan Bushnell is a Biologist
with experience in marine and freshwater fisheries and ecology. Megan has
worked with several federal agencies, including NOAA/NMFS, USFWS and USGS in
various fisheries-related projects in Alaska, Hawaii and the Puget Sound since
2000. She received her M.S. from the University of Hawaii, in 2007, where the
focus of her thesis was reproduction, movement and age and growth parameters of
coral reef fish species. Trained as a scientist, Megan is a certified Scientific
Diver and employs modeling and statistical analysis skills to her monitoring and
permitting work at Grette. Megan is based in Tacoma.
Matt Heddin, Biologist
B.S., Biology, Kansas State University
Matt Heddin is a Biologist
with professional training and experience in wetland ecology as well as
fisheries and wildlife ecology, habitat restoration, wetland and stream
delineations, monitoring programs, and mitigation planning and design. He
has completed the University of Washington's Wetlands Science and Management
Certificate Program. In addition, Matt has training in forage fish
spawning survey protocols from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Matt provides habitat assessments, wetland delineations, and SCUBA surveys.
Matt is based in Tacoma.
