Fish, Wildlife & Habitat Surveys

Grette Associates helps clients with land-use planning needs in areas where protected species and ecologically-sensitive habitats are present.

We help public- and private-sector clients in Washington and Oregon understand and comply with environmental regulations related to protected fish, wildlife, and habitats.  Our capabilities include surveys and site assessments for the presence/absence, distribution, and relative abundance of forage fish, shellfish, streaked horned lark, bald eagle, Columbian white-tailed deer, pacific lamprey, burrowing owl, and pocket gopher.  For projects located in aquatic areas, the Grette Associates dive team provides expertise in the delineation of eelgrass beds, macroalgae surveys, and other related underwater services.  We routinely provide support to permitting actions and natural-resource assessments related to:

  • Endangered Species Act (ESA) Analysis and Compliance
  • Stream Assessments
  • Shoreline Characterization
  • Eelgrass Surveys
  • Habitat Assessments and Management Plans
  • Fish Exclusion/Capture
  • Wildlife Population Estimates
  • Marine Community Characterizations
  • Dive Surveys
