Snake River Fall Chinook Draft Recovery Plan

Nov 04, 0000
NMFS seeks public review and comment through January 4, 2016

The draft plan provides a roadmap for the recovery of the Snake River Fall Chinook Salmon ESU, which is listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act.  The ESU includes all natural-origin fall-run Chinook salmon which spawn and rear in the mainstem Snake River below Hells Canyon Dam, as well as fall-run Chinook salmon from four artificial propagation programs.  The recovery strategy defines goals and actions for the ESU aimed at establishing a self-sustaining, naturally-spawning population that is likely to persist in the long term.

Electronic copies of the plan are available at: http://www.nmfs.noaa.gov/pr/hot_topics/2015/Nov/proposed_snake_river_fall_chinook_recovery_plan_october_2015.pdf
